  This area is northern hardwood with an occasional conifir(mostly red spruce) with predominately conifer forest at the edges of streams and ponds. Estimated ages are based on the following ring counts made in the field: Sugar Maple 11yrs/in, Red pine 15yrs/in, Hemlock 27 yrs/in, Red Spruce 20 yrs/in, Beech 15 yrs/in.
